How do you like to move? Why do you move? What inspires you to move?
I used to move because I felt like I had to check the fitness box of cardio. But I didn't realize that how I was moving wasn't working for my body or my mind. I didn't really enjoy the movement I'd selected for myself (running), nor did my body like it.
Years ago, I was in a yoga class that incorporated dance. At first, I panicked; I WAS A TERRIBLE DANCER! Or so the story went. But at some point in this class, I felt a shift. And thus, my love of dance (without expectation of how good I was at it!) began. It's now a daily practice that supports my body and mind in ways I'd never imagined.
