Welcome to a new month of classes and a month to explore mastering your habits of Wholebeing. An essential and oft-overlooked aspect of Wholebeing is the practice of slowing down and nurturing your mind and body.
In a culture where we are encouraged to embody more of the "go, go, go" mindset, it can feel hard sometimes to slow down and be still. Or you might be so tired from the going that when you finally slow down, you just feel sleepy and tired.
Restorative yoga is a powerful practice that can help you slow down AND, at the same time, restore vital energy to your weary mind and body.
Your first class draws inspiration from these beautiful words by Rumi:
"Never give from the depths of your well, but from your overflow."
As we head into the often frenzied season of holidays and the end of the year, slowing down might seem like going against the stream, but it's essential to take time to fill your well back to full. Each class will incorporate gentle movement and a restorative pose or two to support deep mental and physical rest.
Join me today to learn one of my favorite Restorative poses known as Legs up the Wall. It's an excellent pose that has a multitude of benefits! Come to class to learn and experience how Legs up the Wall can be a powerful antidote for stress.
I look forward to seeing you at 4:00pm EDT!
