Mindfulness is everywhere these days - websites, apps, celebrity promoters, television commercials (have you seen the Calm: 30-second breath break on TV?) professional athletes meditating before and during games, programs in prisons, the US Congress, clinical medicine, neuroscientific research, addictive habit change, recovery, and more.
The amount of research on its benefits has grown exponentially over the last 25 years, and the empirical evidence is convincing. Logic would say it's something everyone should be doing but creating new habits isn't easy, even ones we know would be helpful.
So where to begin?
Join me today for the fourth and final session on mindfulness. We will go over some of the proven benefits of regular practice, go into some nuts and bolts on how to begin a practice (hint: start small), and lead you in a mindfulness practice called the body scan.
I look forward to seeing you at 12:30pm EDT!
