When you think of working your core, is the first thought you have something to do with a sit-up? When asked about the core, most people first think of a sit-up and the central abdominals (the rectus abdominis or "six-pack muscles").
But there are so many other vital parts of your core and many exercises that allow you to engage the parts of your core that aren't as familiar. A strong core gives you the foundation to strengthen other muscles in your body.
Let's begin this week by connecting to your core intelligence by exploring the exercise known as Bird-Dog. Dress in clothing you're comfortable moving in.
