    Align and balance

    When life feels uncertain, it can be hard to find your footing. 
     
    How can you come back to balance and alignment? 
     
    The dictionary’s definition of align is “to arrange in a straight line.” Yoga is also a practice of aligning your body’s structure; however, your spine has a variation of this definition. 
     
    Four natural curves comprise your spine's intelligent architecture to support your body to move through space and rest in steadiness. The curves allow room for expansion and contraction, flexibility, and balance. 
     
    In life, there are also curves. Waves of unexpected times and experiences. These nudge us off the “straight line” of life and allow space for expansion and contraction and the chance to build our realignment skills. 
     
    In a yoga practice, you physically realign your spine,
    to help smooth out the time hunched over your desk
    so your body’s central structure and
    communication channel can function properly.
     
    As you physically realign, you simultaneously realign your inner compass to focus on what matters to you, to your deepest values, and peace.

    This yoga class is geared towards all levels, and I'll offer different variations for you to explore. If you have a yoga block, please bring it to class.
