Have you ever stood at the ocean's edge on a quiet, sunny day? A day when the breeze is just right, the temperature is just right, and the waves gently float in and out at your ankles. You easily fall into the rhythm and calm of it, and something inside seems to settle.
This week we're going to have time to learn and practice Ocean Breath. It is a smooth, slow breath inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your nose.
This kind of breathing focuses your attention on your breath. It brings you back to your body and this moment. Again and again and again. You can do it at the train station, in your car, or waiting in line at the grocery store.
This is a tool for that moment when you feel overwhelmed, angry, frustrated, stressed or you can't stop your overactive mind or relax enough to get to sleep.
